Josefa ‘JC’ Carrillo is a proud Native Virgin Islander, born and raised in the heart of Christiansted, St. Croix. The vibrant sounds of Times Square and Company Street are the backdrop of her life, and her love for this beautiful island runs deep. Her lineage traces back to the Thomas and Mason clans of Christiansted on her mother’s side and the Carrillo clan of Esperanza Vieques, Puerto Rico, on her father’s side. Her parents were pioneers in their own right—her mother, one of the first Public Health Nurses for St. Croix’s education system, and her father, one of the island’s first linemen, who worked tirelessly to build and maintain the island’s infrastructure. Their legacy of service, generosity, and community care is the foundation of who JC is today.  

As the youngest of five and the only girl, JC grew up witnessing the power of hard work, compassion, and resilience. She is the first in her family to graduate high school, earn a college degree, and build a successful professional career.  

JC’s career spans decades of diverse experiences, from serving as a Security Administrator for top global organizations like The World Bank Group, Fannie Mae, IBM, and MedStar Health, to consulting for federal, civic, and non-profit entities. These roles honed her problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence—qualities she now brings to her real estate practice.  

JC embarked on her real estate journey, inspired by colleagues and friends who recognized her communicative personality, creative thinking, and caring mindset as a perfect fit for the industry. As a Realtor with Coldwell Banker St. Croix Realty, she specializes in residential and commercial sales and property management.
