Donation to Lion Haven

The Schmidt Family of Companies recently made a donation to Lion Haven here on St. Croix! Coldwell Banker St Croix Realty is part of the Schmidt family and through the Schmidt Community Fund, we are delighted to contribute to an important youth programs in the community in which we live and serve. A member of our realtor team, Christie Powers represented the brokerage to hand the check to Justin C. Smith, on behalf of Lion Haven. Justin shared some of their diverse and interesting after-school programs for children of the community.

Lion Haven’s mission is to provide a safe place after school for our youth to learn, grow and thrive. We believe that youth participation in after- school activities on a consistent basis will benefit them socially, emotionally, physically, and academically. When young individuals have easy access to a wide variety of fulfilling activities and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with peers and adults, they are more likely to attend school, earn good grades, have a positive self-image, avoid harmful behaviors, and become equipped with 21st-century skills required for them to be productive citizens.
