ST THOMAS — Pier 22 Bar & Grill is “where entertainment becomes live!” This restaurant & lounge in Havensight Shopping Center is where guests can eat, drink, play and enjoy at one of the hottest places St. Thomas has ever seen! The 11,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor venue opened in May 2023 featuring a casino room with slot machines, a pool table, a private 30-plus members’ lounge, a swimming pool and a volleyball court.
Owner Andre Joseph always had a vision for entertainment. The 31-year-old graduate of Charlotte Amalie High School transformed that vision into a reality with a complete renovation at the old Senor Frog’s location at the end of the West Indian Company dock. The concept of Pier 22 is based on bringing actual physical entertainment back into play. Their tag line, “Where entertainment becomes live,” is a testament to Joseph’s vision for people to put down their phones and have physical fun not rooted in technology. Weekly game nights, poolside parties, volleyball tournaments, free rum punch shots upon entry and casino nights are a few ways the establishment is making its mark on the St. Thomas entertainment scene.
Pier 22’s restaurant menu offers casual food fare like burgers, wings and salads. It’s their daily specials that really shine through with options like conch in butter sauce, braised oxtails and grilled barbecue ribs and chicken served alongside seasoned rice, mac n cheese, sautéed broccoli and coleslaw to name a few. With arguably one of the largest bars on the island, there’s no shortage of drinks to enjoy. Choose from one of 12 signature cocktails like the passion fruit mojito or their namesake drink called The Pier. Half pina colada and half strawberry daiquiri, guests can choose to have it served in a glass or a pineapple!
