Owner Nathan Dowell always embodied an overstimulating passion and connection to life on the water. Born and raised on St. Thomas, this former music studio owner turned to business on the water during the global pandemic. “With COVID, everything came to a halt,” recalled Dowell. While talking with a family member who was heavily involved in the boating industry, Dowell decided to launch New Seasons WaterSports. “I’ve always liked working for myself, and this business gave me the opportunity to do so.” Since then, Dowell has been living, playing, and working in the crystal blue waters surrounding St. Thomas daily. On October 23, 2022, New Seasons WaterSports officially opened to the public, renting out clear kayaks, underwater scooters, and snorkel gear to residents and visitors and providing half- and full-day private boat charters for up to 10 guests.
A few things set New Seasons Water- Sports apart from similar rental companies on St. Thomas. First and foremost, they come to you! “We come to you wherever you are,” Dowell revealed. For snorkeling, he shared their preferences for certain beaches and knowledge of the best days to escape throngs of beachgoers, which result in a better overall experience for guests.
