ST THOMAS — Explore the world under the Caribbean Sea at Coral World Ocean Park! This paradise for nature enthusiasts and adventure-seekers alike covers five acres of exotic aquariums, outdoor pools and nature trails. Located on the island’s eastern end near Coki Point Beach, Coral World Ocean Park’s primary mission is to inspire and educate visitors to protect our worldwide ocean by providing meaningful and fun experiences with marine life.

A popular eco-tourism attraction, everything you could imagine about marine life is available at the park. Coral World offers guests several unique experiences to explore the wonders of the marine world, interact with fascinating sea creatures and learn about the delicate balance of our oceans’ ecosystems. The guided tour is perfect for first time visitors thanks to the indoor and outdoor exhibits where you learn about stingrays, turtles, fish, birds, mangroves and much more. Those that are fascinated with dolphins will be excited for the opportunity to get up-close and personal with them through one of four experiences. The most popular experience is the Dolphin Splash & Swim where participants can swim with these amazing social creatures in a natural in-ocean sea sanctuary. Other experiences include interacting on land and in the water with lovable South American sea lions and a Shark Encounter where visitors learn the truths and myths about the ocean’s top predators in Coral World’s recreated shark nursery.

Eight exhibits are currently available at the park which include the following: Dolphin Sea Sanctuary, Shark Shallows, Stingray Lagoon, Touch Pool, Caribbean Reef Encounter, Turtle Pool, Undersea Observatory Tower and Critter Corner. The Undersea Observatory Tower is the only one of its kind in the Caribbean where guests can descend 15 feet underwater without getting wet and view a natural coral reef packed with fish and other marine life. Despite its size, the Touch Pool is considered the most popular exhibit for children and adults for a real “hands-on” experience with sea stars, sea cucumbers, sea anemone, conchs and other shallow-water creatures.

With its stunning coral reefs, diverse marine life and immersive educational programs, Coral World Ocean Park is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to experience the beauty and wonder of the Caribbean’s underwater world. The park is open seven days a week from 9am to 4pm. For more information, visit their website at coralworldvi.com.
