ST THOMAS — Get dressed to impress and reserve a table at the newest fine dining restaurant in St. Thomas! 3 Palms Bistro • Bar • Balcony is located on the island’s east end at American Yacht Harbor marina complex in Red Hook. Guests can choose to have dinner in the restaurant’s indoor air-conditioned accommodations, or the outdoor balcony seating nestled within the lounge area.

Owner Barth Melius and co-owners Neill and Madison Lenaghan came together after a chance visit by Melius to St. Thomas in 2016. Born and raised in a family of celebrated Louisiana restaurateurs, Melius returned to St. Thomas with a one-way plane ticket within weeks of his first visit. Accompanied by business partner, Neill Lenaghan, he opened his first eatery in April 2017 followed by 3 Palms Bistro • Bar • Balcony in late March 2021.

Fresh local seafood, prime meats, and extensive wine list and craft cocktails is what one would find on the 3 Palms menu. Under the tutelage of Executive Chef Robert Gurvich, they source fresh seafood and produce from local farmers and fishermen and produce flavorful dishes accentuated with a French Creole flair. The menu changes a little daily based on what they can source for dinner service. There are a few standard dishes that are permanent staples on the menu such as the Caribbean lobster dumplings appetizer and veal chop entrée. One of their unique offerings is the preparation of fresh seafood caught by guests that are dining in. When called in advance, guests can provide seafood caught from their morning fishing expedition to the kitchen to become the main event for their party’s dinner.

The atmosphere at 3 Palms is one of a kind thanks to its carefully chosen décor and well-placed lighting. It’s great spot for a date night, giving somewhat of a speakeasy feel and vibe. The craft cocktail menu features delicious drinks made with fresh ingredients. A crowd favorite is the Blueberry Sky cocktail made with Tito’s vodka, blueberry puree, lemongrass syrup and lemon juice. Other popular drinks include the East Ender made with tequila, watermelon juice, agave and lime juice and the Sage Sunset made with whiskey bourbon, pear, lemon and sage. The restaurant is also an ideal venue for those hosting events or celebrating milestones such as weddings and birthdays.

3 Palms Bistro • Bar • Balcony is located at 6100 Red Hook Quarters and overlooks the Red Hook Marina at American Yacht Harbor. They’re open for dinner seven days a week from 5pm to 11pm.
