A lot of times we are your first point of contact when considering moving to St. Croix and we welcome you to reach out to learn about St. Croix island life. Since we live, work and play here, we know a lot about our little island home. We like to think of ourselves as more than just your Realtor, we are St. Croix ambassadors! Our profession is Real Estate, and our passion is St. Croix! Our island is diverse and expansive, therefore there is quite a bit to explore. If you haven’t been to St. Croix before, we always suggest exploring all of St. Croix to experience the different vibes each community has to offer and which area or areas fit your idea of how you want to live your island life. This will help us get a better understanding of what you are looking for in a home, condo or land. If you only have one day to see the island, below is a {{SAMPLE}} itinerary.  There is much more to see and do than what you see below. So, if you want an itinerary curated based on your hobbies and interests feel free to reach out to one of our agents HERE and they would be happy to point you in the right direction.

** NOTE: Renting a car is the best way to see the island and this itinerary is designed for exploring the island by car.

Be the first in the United States to see the sunrise at Point Udall! Our island is home of the most eastern point of the United States. Make sure to bring a thermos of coffee or tea to sip on as you watch the sun rise up in the distance.

After your morning meditation watching the sunrise, strap on your tennis shoes and make your way down to Jack and Isaac`s Bay. The start of this hike is just steps from the monument at Point Udall. You will see the parking spots on your left as you are heading out from Point Udall. The hike is beautiful and winding, and sometimes you are greeted by a cluster of white butterflies or  blooming Ginger Thomas (our state flower). The hike ends at a sandy beach, often times one that you will have all to yourself! If you brought your snorkeling gear, this is a great time to jump in and explore the sea….well, and to cool off from your invigorating hike.

By now you are probably starving and ready for brunch! Hop back in your rental car and head west to the historic Christiansted town. You will know when you arrive based on the historic stone buildings with graceful archways complimented by Danish brick walkways. There are several places to brunch in town – whether on the boardwalk or in the heart of the historic district. By this time the boutique shops should be open – from jewelry to art to boho-chic island attire! Be sure to get you &/or your loved one a Crucian hook bracelet.

Next on the adventure is driving the north shore – the drive in itself is THE adventure! Winding past Salt River and continuing up and around you will experience some of the most dramatic cliff side sea views and if you are lucky you may even spot a whale! End your drive at Off The Wall at Cane Bay with a beer and the BEST seat on island! The sunken bar is positioned perfectly so the patrons can enjoy the sounds of the sea and a picturesque view of Hamms Bluff. From Off The Wall head to the Cane Bay beach a very short drive west. It`s time to lime under the shade of a palm tree or go for a swim. If you have the time, this is where you could dive The Wall with our friends at Sweet Bottom Dive Center.

We still need to make it to sunset on the West End, so after relaxing on the North Shore get ready to take your drive through the rainforest – Another driving adventure with some unique stops along the way.  Stop to say hi to the beer drinking pigs (and feed them a beer!) followed by a shot of Mamajuana at Mt. Pellier Domino Club. If you need to get your history fix, head to the gardens of Estate Mount Washington where you can sit inside a 17th century dungeon or walk a labyrinth.

By this time, it is probably getting close to the end of the day and you don’t want to miss the sunset! So pack up your bags and head to the beach, there are plenty of beautiful ones to choose from on the West End! Enjoy the sunset with a cocktail and dinner at Rhythms at Rainbows Beach, Louie & Nacho`s Beach Bar, The Fred or Sand Castles on the Beach.

We look forward to having you come to St. Croix to explore its beauty, history, food and community. Lets start working on your itinerary – give us a call at 340-778-7000.
