St. Croix’s natural beauty surpasses expectations, especially what lies beneath the turquoise waters! St. Croix has climbed its way to the top as one of the best diving destinations thanks to the vibrant marine life, and Triton’s Realm wants to make sure to keep it that way! Coralpalooza is an international event aimed to bring awareness to coral preservation and restoration. This fun and educational festival is taking place this weekend, June 8 – June 9, 2019 right here on St. Croix – and it is great for everyone in the family!
Strap on your fins and be sure to pack your snorkel and goggles for the weekend ahead to take part in an exciting learning experience alongside biologist and marine scientist.
World Oceans Day Lecture Series kicks off the festival on Friday June 7, 2019 from 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM located at the East End Marine Park (5005 Estate Great Pond). There is a line-up of great speakers covering topics from building reefs to seagrass and sharks.
The festival rolls over to Saturday June 8, 2019 from 9:00AM – 3:00PM at the Sweet Bottom Diver Center at Cane Bay – be prepared to get wet! Learn about St. Croix’s local coral restoration efforts with The Nature Conservancy and the Sweet Bottom Dive Center.
After exploring and adventuring the north shore with The Nature Conservancy and Sweet Bottom Dive Center we encourage you to stay to watch the sunset and enjoy a cocktail and dinner at one of these amazing north shore restaurants – Eat at Cane Bay, Off The Wall or The Restaurant at The Waves AMA.
