It’s no secret, there is a lot of musical talent on St. Croix. One such local group, Dick’s Garage, was formed 10 years ago, in 2008, by Seth Andrews (drums) and David Crowther (vocal/guitar). Jam sessions in a garage owned by a guy named…you guessed it…Dick made the name a natural. The group uses distinct, original material that is described on Reverbnation as high energy, loud, reckless and “in your face”. Released in 2013, the Crucian Life album was a huge island hit that launched the group.
Blend breezy acoustic guitar with original, island-inspired songwriting and you’ve got their latest album, On Grass. The genre is rock and acoustic. The tunes on On Grass are original works, written and performed by David Crowther (vocal/guitar) and Paul Vasterling (bass), with additional songwriting credits to Seth Andrews, Mollie Nadler, and Russell Vasterling. Pour yourself a Cruzan cocktail and chill out to the latest from Dick’s Garage.
