Queen
Queen, King and Prince Quarters are often referred to as “Mid Island” and have a mix of residential neighborhoods, businesses, culture and history. You’ll find nearly every type of property here, from vacant land to commercial real estate, apartments and condos to single family homes.
Located between Company and King Quarters, Queen Quarter stretches from the north to south shore. The Melvin Evans Highway starts in Queen Quarter and travels west toward Frederiksted, making the area the gateway to both sides of the island. Queen Quarter is also close in proximity to the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport (STX).
Landmarks include the Limetree Bay Terminal (on the former Hovensa Oil Refinery property), the Juan F. Luis Hospital and Cardiac Center, Sunny Isle Shopping Center (home of K-Mart East), Island Crossings Shopping Center (location of Home Depot), and Good Hope Country Day School. Salt River National Park and Salt River Marina are in the northwest corner of Queen Quarter.
For those who can’t decide between the spectacular beaches of the west and the restaurants, shopping and lifestyle of Christiansted, a mid-island location is a great choice.
