The V.I. Agriculture Department is planning a series of activities with crop and livestock producers to celebrate National Farmer’s Market Week, Aug 1 through Aug. 7.

As part of this year’s celebration, farmer’s markets in the territory will be selling fresh produce, meats, poultry products, honey, local drinks and other homegrown products.

The department has three farmer’s markets planned:

•Aug. 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., in Cruz Bay Park on St. John

•Aug. 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Ann E. Heyliger Vegetable Market on St. Croix

•Aug. 7, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the abattoir in Estate Nadir on St. Thomas
